Sugar Maple

by Robert Messick

A Sugar Maple by a pond,

Releasing seeds without a sound.

Falling falling round

and, round like Whirly

Burlys spinning down.

Looking up in premonition,

Iye and Iyedo delight in vision.

Early spring, the best of seasons,

for Yin and Yang

and new beginnings.
